At Addenbrooke’s (Cambridge University Hospital), working with consultants, WSP and main contractors Galliford Try, Dodd Group has completed the project known as C6 Dementia Care upgrade. This was part of a nationwide programme to improve the environment for dementia patients.
CUH secured funding in order to upgrade their facilities to make the environment less utilitarian and more homely as well as improving services such as medical gases, legionella prevention measures, nurse call provisions, improved internal lighting including scene setting and separate dining facilities.
Following on from the successful delivery of the C6 Dementia Care upgrade, Dodd Group have worked closely with Galliford Try to develop design solutions for various other projects from issue of concept Trust Brief and associated Architectural Plans.
This involved site surveys, agreement of services scopes and associated costs, design development with the Trust and the design team, and delivery of the new services installation in accordance with the Trusts outline programme / requirements.
Further projects included Barton House (Levels 3, 4, 5 and 6), Winter Capacity (refurbishment of areas within Wards C4, C5, C7, D5, D7, D8, D9, G2, and the Dialysis Unit), Research S2 Hospital Offices, Interior Design Pilot Area Scheme, Clinic 10 and Fire Suppression Works.
