APPROVED ELECTRICIAN (Norwich / Kings Lynn Based)

Approved Electricians and Electricians Required

Dodd Group (Eastern) Ltd is looking for JIB-graded electricians to work on their own initiative and within teams on water utility sites across East Anglia.


Based at our Kings Lynn office, your main role will be the survey, installation, testing and commissioning of telemetry outstations on water and sewage treatment works and pumping stations. You will have significant experience of control and instrumentation systems and be competent with the use of PC-based equipment configuration apps and MS Office.


The roles involve travelling on a daily basis (for which a vehicle is provided), planning and ordering of materials through the office, installation, testing and inspection.


Applicants must hold a JIB ECS card and a clean full driving licence, and be qualified to C&G, NVQ3 or equal and approved with experience of commercial and industrial electrical installations.


Relevant experience (e.g. panel wiring, fault finding) and/or additional qualifications such as C&G 2391, IPAF, PASMA, working at height, first aid, manual handling and asbestos awareness training would be an advantage, although training will be provided for the right candidates.


Weekly paid role, JIB rates

Commercial Electrical Supervisor (Northampton based)

Due to an increased workload and positive order book for 2019, Dodd Group ltd,  now have a requirement for an Electrical Supervisor (commercial)  Initially working within the Hertfordshire area, based out of the Northampton (Eastern) Office.

Duties include, but not limited to…..

· Managing of sub-contractors.

· Monitoring, recording and reporting progress against program.

· Monitoring quality and health & safety

· Carrying out various audits.

· Implementing Company procedure & policy

· Reporting to, and assisting the Project Manager

COMMERCIAL GAS INSTALLATION ENGINEER (Manchester areas)

Domestic Electrician - Manchester and surrounding

Main purpose of the role: To join our team of experienced electricians to assist with identifying and rectifying domestic electrical faults in and around the Manchester and Stockport areas.

We work closely with a number of companies who require us to react to electrical issues and also carry out EICR testing and follow on remedial works.

The ability to work confidently alone and as part of a team will be essential. You must be able to problem solve and work calmly under pressure in order to identify and rectify various domestic electrical faults.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ability to clearly identify domestic electrical faults and be able to rectify
  • Work closely with office to organise and plan your day efficiently and logistically
  • Professionally and pleasantly meeting with clients/ tenants on a day-to-day basis

Qualifying Supervisor (Electrical) - Midlands region

we are looking for an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to assist with delivery of our West Midlands based projects. Working primarily on Social Housing Schemes and Domestic properties; you will be the Company representative on site overseeing and supervising the engineers and the installation of the full electrical projects.

As the Supervisor, You will oversee the Electrical team to deliver on time and on budget. You will scope work on site and assess work required. You will supervise the schedule of site teams. You will conduct tool box talks and work with the QHSE Manager to ensure health and safety on site.

You will need:
As the Qualifying Supervisor,we would require relevant industry experience and qualifications.
