Working primarily on Social Housing; You will be the Companies representative in occupied and void premise’s, assisting overseeing the installation, replacements and repair of the heating installations.

You will need:
You will have valid ACS qualifications, (CCN1, CEN1, HTR1,) a full driving licence and relevant industry training.

We are now looking for Mechanical Contract Manager to deliver and manage Contracts in and around our Southern Region (Exeter based).

Main purpose

 Managing, maintaining and adding to the existing client base

 Oversee delivery of contracts to a high standard, on time and in budget

 Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant standards and ensuring building supply chain business.

 Responsible for overseeing development of a robust team covering Exeter and adjoining areas.

 Responsible for maintaining, developing and sustaining the profitability of each project

 Main Activities:

 To maintain and grow existing client base

 Establish and maintain appropriate systems for monitoring all aspects of the work including internal and client requirements.

 Manage and develop directly reporting staff.

 Manage and control all commercial aspects of the work.

 Monitor measure and report on all aspects of internal work and client requirements within agreed formats and timescales.

 Negotiate with the supply chain as required to enable effective, efficient operations under the guidance of the Directors and National Buyer.

 Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles.

 Ensure delivery of Health & Safety requirements.

 Liaise with clients and attend all client meetings.

Qualifications or Training:

Ideally the candidate will be HNC/ONC qualified with experience in the building services sector. Other qualifications/experience will be considered

 Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal., with strong basic IT skills

 Have strong leadership skills and be motivated and results driven

 Be analytical and methodical in your approach to problems and able to act quickly and decisively

 Local market knowledge

Switchgear Service Technician- Stockport based

Due to recent expansion Dodd Group would like to employ a Switchgear Service Technician

 with experience in high & Low voltage maintenance & servicing to strengthen our busy Maintenance Department.

The Opportunity


This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineer to develop their skill set and work on a wide number of exciting projects.

This is an advanced-level technician position. The position requires the technical experience, understanding, knowledge and skills to inspect, survey, test, service, repair, retrofit and operate complex switchgear systems.

The position reports to the Contracts Manager and routinely interacts with customers and various employees within the company.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities - require a specific focus on proven process and procedure in order to:

· Troubleshoot operational failures of complex switchgear systems

· Install and test relays, breakers, buss bars, surge capacitors, neutral grounding resistors

· Test and inspect PT/CT’s

· Perform Hi-pot cable testing

· Perform primary and secondary injection breaker testing

· Perform Infrared inspection testing

· Work with other technicians on large projects

· Guide and train lower-level technicians

· Respond quickly to job site (24/7)

· Install and terminate LV Cabling

· Follow safety requirements, including proper use of protective equipment

· Safely drive a service vehicle

· Clearly, concisely document all work and repairs completed

Education and experience

High school diploma or GED certificate. Three plus years’ experience in electrical testing of switchgear systems

Skills and abilities

· Be personable and able to communicate with clients

· Carry out instructions given in written, oral or diagram form

· Problem-solve and make logical decisions

· Be self-motivated

· Ability to work independently without close supervision.

Trainee Document Controller / CAD Administrator - Norwich Area

We are now looking for a Trainee Document Controller / CAD Administrator to join our busy Norwich based office . This is an entry level role with a clear and defined career path in place for the successful applicant, which would suit a recent graduate or a school leaver with excellent IT skills who is looking to for their 1st opportunity with a company that will support and train them

You will be trained initially in all aspect of general office administration and our bespoke systems, and gain experience of the demands role. You will then be taught 2D Auto Cad software, with a full training programme, guidance and support in place. This role offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to be trained up as a qualified CAD operator and experienced Document Controller.

Your role will include all areas of keeping track of our tender documents, and updating the tender register and preparing tender packages for completion by the estimating team.

You will need:

You will be enthusiastic and keen to learn, with a good eye for detail; and you will have the ability to prioritise your work and act on your own initiative when required. Excellent IT skills (basic packages) good mental arithmetic and strong communication skills are essential.
