Drive to deliver continual QHSE improvements across Dodd Group.

• Ensure Dodd Group’s QHSE procedures are implemented to enable compliance with all relevant legislation.

• Carry out regular site and operative audits and inspections to monitor compliance with QHSE rules, standards and regulations and produce detailed reports with any necessary remedial actions.

• Advise on the practical implementation of Safe Systems of Work, Construction Phase Plans and Environmental Management Plans.

• Investigate and report on all accidents, incidents and near misses looking for root and systemic causes and recommend any remedial actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Inspection and Test Electrician (Norwich / Kings Lynn based)

Inspection and Test Electrician Required

Dodd Group (Eastern) Ltd is looking for a JIB-graded electrician with C&G 2391 to carry out periodic inspections and testing on industrial and utility sites across East Anglia from our Kings Lynn office.

Applicants must hold a JIB ECS card and a clean full driving licence, and be qualified to C&G, NVQ3 or equal and approved with experience of inspection, testing and fault finding in non-domestic environments.

The role involves travelling on a daily basis for which a vehicle will be provided.

Experience of the NICEIC’s online certification package and the ability to work further afield on occasion would be advantageous.

Relevant experience and/or additional qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, working at height, first aid, manual handling and asbestos awareness training would be an advantage, although training will be provided for the right candidates.

Telemetry Outstation Configuration and Testing Engineers

The King’s Lynn branch of Dodd Group is expanding its Telemetry Configuration Team that builds, configures, tests and installs PLC-based telemetry outstations on utility sites across East Anglia.

The bulk of the work involves upgrading ‘live’ telemetry systems with new equipment on ‘live’ water and sewage sites with the consequent risk of disruption to critical services and the client’s customers.

The preferred candidates will be capable of carrying out a significant proportion of the following tasks:

· ‘Desktop surveys’ of I/O, control and communications requirements based on existing outstation configurations.

· Site surveys of existing telemetry installations.

· Preparation and pricing of detailed installation proposals.

· Remapping outstation and PLC from existing to new templates.

· Recreating modular and bespoke control and signal conditioning software code using commercial (e.g. Straton, RSLogix) and proprietary applications.

· Identifying hardware requirements.

· Asset management of outstation hardware.

· Physical design, layout and assembly of bespoke outstation panels and backboards.

· Functional testing of configured outstations at works.

· ‘Top-end’ support of outstation installation and on-site testing/commissioning.
