Commercial Gas Engineer - Stockport region

Dodd Group (Midlands) Stockport office is urgently looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer;  covering Repairs and Maintenance on Commercial and Industrial properties across the region; from replacement circulating pumps, upgrades to the newest energy efficient equipment, through to full boiler house refurbishments.

The vast majority of works will be within plant rooms with all associated equipment, therefore a working knowledge of H&V systems would be useful

You would be required to support and assist other trades where gas related faults or problems have been identified, requiring good fault-finding skills

We are looking for an engineer who  is well presented, able to join an established team and be willing to turn your expertise to minor works as and when required.

You must have current commercial gas certificates. (COCN1).

A full UK driving licence is essential.

Contract Supervisor (Air Source Heat Pumps) - Nuneaton Based

Due to an increased workload and positive order book for 2019, Dodd Group are recruiting for a Contracts Supervisor to oversee the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps, working in the East Midlands area, based out of our Nuneaton office.

With a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the heating and renewable energy industry; you will be fully conversant with technical standards and regulations including MCS.

You will also have a BPEC Domestic Heat Pump Installation qualification and UDHW Unvented Hot Water Storage and Manufacturer Training (Essential).; along with excellent communication skills; be analytical and methodical in your approach to problems and be motivated and result driven.

  • Survey work prior to commencement, producing detailed surveys including drawings.
  • Liaise and organise operatives on a daily basis. Manage available resources to maximise output and deliver to program.
  • Manage and control all aspects of material stock control, and distribution of materials.
  • Check all paperwork, certificates, time cards and invoices
  • Carry out various audits.
  • Liaise with clients and attend all client meetings
  • Implement H&S management in line with company policies & procedures.

Credit Control - Telford based

Dodd Group is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their busy, friendly and established team.  Based at our Head Office on Stafford Park, this is a busy position taking ownership of all aspects of debt management. Applicants should have the ability to interact at all levels, and be able to manage their workload and ledger effectively, working with minimal supervision.

Good IT skills including regular use of excel spreadsheets and Vlookup experience is essential

· All aspects of Credit Control, chasing debt by phone, letter and e-mail

· Dealing with invoice queries in a timely and efficient manner

The role
We are looking for an Electrical
Estimator to assist with delivery of our East Midlands based projects;

· To send out enquiries to suppliers and sub-contractors

· Take-off the drawings and input into Estimation software

· Carry out an analysis of received quotations to ensure the equipment / specialist is compliant with the tender information

· Complete a tender analysis including preliminary costs

· Take the master tender letter and summary and customise them to suit the requirements of the submission and more importantly incorporate any specific clarifications

You will need:
As
the ideal Electrical estimator you will have worked for another leading M&E sub contractors before and will have a strong mechanical background. Ideally, you will have either SMSTS and or SSSTS.
