The individual will be responsible for ensuring all gas and mechanical work is compliant with statutory regulations, industry best practice, internal policies and safe methods of working. With a particular focus on domestic gas safety, oil, solid fuel, renewable technologies and commercial gas works.

Working closely with the operational managers and operatives to ensure a structured approach is taken to compliance, delivering effective processes and procedures to maintain acceptable levels of assurance and to deliver an excellent service for our customers.

This will involve providing timely updates to processes and procedures ahead of changes from industry bodies and codes of practice. This role will also assist with identifying trends from audits and incidents, while working in partnership with operational managers to set the correct level of training content to maintain competence.

Your Main Duties:

Developing, implementing and managing the companies compliance ensuring it is in line with best practice, 

Ensuring that effective compliance is implemented across the company including developing processes and procedures, identifying any gaps and advising on companies Health & Safety policies, strategies and procedures

Carry out audits, monitor and report compliance and quality of workmanship.

Supporting the operational teams in delivering contractual service levels, within the constraints of statutory regulations and industry standards.

Utilise learning from audits and visits to identify areas for improvement within gas operations improving productivity and reducing incident rates.

Supporting the business in the management of industry accreditations

Supporting the business in the development of safe systems of work, equipment selection and approval, and accident investigation.

Ensure the business keeps abreast of changes in the industry within sphere of control

Produce procedures, bulletins and tool box talks as required to highlight clearly defined working practices and improvements.

Represent the business at industry forums

Proactively work with all teams to ensure industry Health and Safety standards are constantly upheld.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical compliance role within the gas industry. Fully conversant with technical standards and regulations including MCS and PAS2030.

Industry current ACS Domestic and Commercial Qualifications (Essential)


Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Be analytical and methodical in your approach to problems

Be motivated and results driven

Be able to act quickly and decisively

Have good IT skills

Have excellent organisational skills

Full driving licence essential.
