Dodd Group has entered into a long term partnering agreement with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to provide a single source supply solution for all Mechanical and Electrical (M & E) work managed by the Property Services Team at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC). The partnership provides cost and process advantages over previous supply arrangements whilst maintaining / improving the level of customer (end user) and stakeholder satisfaction.
Increased Trust has been one of the greatest improvements of the partnership: this has directly resulted in greater empowerment of our operatives to carry out minor repairs without having to generate paperwork and administrative costs. This has generated both financial savings and enhanced customer (stakeholder) satisfaction by minimising disruption.
Furthermore the term of the partnership has enabled the team to begin to develop an apprentice programme dedicated to Solihull, with the first apprentice being taken on by the partnership in 2007
