Theproject required infrastructure and M&E services to various ancillarybuildings that supported accommodation and training facilities.
Theinfrastructure included design, installation and commissioning of a new 800 Kvaelectrical substation, extension to site wide 20 pair cable, fire alarm signalcables (MARS Network) and incoming water supplies. Apurpose built prefabricated GRP Enclosure was installed over the electricalequipment. HV specialists completed the connections to the RMU and suppliesfrom the feeder pillar were installed to supply the Training Building,Accommodation Building, Substation DB and local car park lighting.
The water supplies servedthe training building, accommodation building and a drench shower.
The ancillary buildings were all lightweightconstruction, and included lighting, fire alarm and small power. The buildings included 8 AircraftShelters, 2 Stores Buildings and AGE Store Building.
Anindividual distribution board to serve each aircraft shelter was installed. Each shelter has high and lower level lighting complete withlighting controls installed to allow maintenance on aircraft and a LightningProtection System (LPS)
