RAF Waddington DOTC (A)

The Defence Operational Training Concept (Air), (DOTC(A), project was an official security level, two storey defence development within an existing former aircraft hangar, with a new external LV switch room and external plant area. The new building incorporates training/meeting rooms, conference rooms, office accommodation, planning, welfare facilities and secure server rooms, split within non-secure and secure areas of the building.

The buildings complete MEP installation consists of new automatic lighting, fire, security, CCTV, PA, access control, UPS and LV power systems, derived from trunking, tray and basket containment installed under raised access floors and within ceiling voids, utilising power-track, floor-boxes, LCM's and all associated support bracketry.

An extensive ICT and AV solution was installed throughout the building, to satisfy the requirements of the establishments use.

Mechanical supply and extract ventilation, specialist air-conditioning, humidification, fire damper, domestic HWS and CWS systems installed throughout, with local integrated controls and automatic environmental building management system.

The life safety and security systems being integrated with the existing base wide systems.

Dodd Group was responsible for the complete design, installation, testing and commissioning of the MEP systems.
