The FDIS Built Estate contracts commenced in February 2022 and are currently in Year four of service delivery. Two contracts are in place that cover the geographical areas of Central East and South West South.
The Central East contract covers Defence Establishments comprising of six Air and Army locations in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex ie RAF Marham, Robertson Barracks, RAF Honington, Wattisham Flying Station, Rock Barracks, Military Corrective Training Centre plus satellite sites.
The South West South contract covers Defence Establishments comprising of twelve Navy, Royal Marine, Air, Army locations ie RNAS Culdrose, RAF St Mawgan, HMS Raleigh, Stonehouse Barracks, DM Plymouth, Bickleigh Barracks, Royal Citadel, Britannia Royal Naval College, CTCRM Lympstone, RNAS Yeovilton, RM Norton Manor, RM Chivenor plus satellite sites.
The scope of both contracts covers planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, billable works and projects including but not limited to full electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fabric elements to all building assets on the estate. Specialist activities include aviation ground lighting, hazardous area electrical, communication and alarm systems, local exhaust ventilation, swimming pool and marine aviation training facility, gas services, lightning protection systems, building management systems.
The contract for Central East maintains c 1600 building assets, 17,000 system assets and responds to circa 20,000 reactive tasks per annum.
The contract for South West South maintains c 2000 building assets, 25,000 system assets and responds to circa 38,000 reactive tasks per annum.
