Overview

Name
Conversion to create additional bed space and conversion of Ward Treatment Rooms into Dual Purpose Rooms
M&E Order Value
£373K

The conversion of 10 x 2 bed room bays into 3 bed room bays, 5 x bathrooms into store rooms and 14 x Treatment Rooms into Dual Purpose Rooms in various wards through out the N&N Hospital.

Dodd Group completed the Building Works and M&E works including medical gas alterations.

Challenges faced and overcome on this project were working within a live hospital ward, demolishing walls, constructing new walls, surveying M&E services to confirm & arranging access into other areas to complete works such as drilling and drainage.

Interesting fact: Medical procedures would always overrule construction activities. Arranging to isolate mechanical & electrical systems (There are no out of hour times on live wards).
