This £30m development is the country’s largest ever school conversion, transforming a derelict Royal Mail Sorting Office into a modern 21st century school accommodating 2220 pupils from Primary Education to post 16 pupils.
Dodd Group was appointed by Vinci to supply and install the MEP services over a 12 month programme.
The 20,000 m2 school includes a 400 Seat Theatre, a roof top 4 court Sports Hallas well as Commercial / Retail Units Integrated for outsourcing
Cable tray acts as corridor ceilings, integrating lighting, fire alarm and ventilation services. The installation of TEK natural ventilation units integrated into the window façade which are heated via the LTHW system provide the main source of heating & ventilation within the educational spaces.
