RAF Marham, Air Traffic Control

RAF Marham is the home of the F-35 Lightning a 5th Generation, multi-role, stealth fighter.

The Station is also home to a range of engineering support functions from maintenance to frontline support. Over 3600 Service Personnel, civil servants and contractors work at RAF Marham.

The Air Traffic Control Tower is a four floor building with a reinforced concrete frame and clad with a brick face approximately 500m2.

The existing no-break UPS and standby generator was decommissioned and removed and the demolition of the existing generator housing was carried out.

A new standby generator and no-break UPS was housed within a new purpose built building. The works also included installation of replacement electrical distribution, small power, standard and emergency lighting, automatic fire detection and alarm and lightning protection, installation of the generator fuel supply, ventilation and air conditioning, a new SAIF Feeder Pillar, removal of asbestos and the rewire/refurbishment of all electrical services throughout the Air Traffic Control Tower.
