Stopford House

Stopford House

The project comprised of the replacement of an existing transformer and generator with a new 1250KVA 6600v transformer, 1250KVA generator and installation of a new 300kW biomass boiler.

The Stopford House plantroom is situated below road level between Stopford and Fred Perry House. Major crane lifts were organised to remove existing plant and position the new, which have required strategic planning with Stockport Council to arrange the necessary road closures.

The building remained operational throughout the contract period and required day to day liaison with the incumbent Carillion maintenance team to ensure minimum disruption to the both Stopford House and Fred Perry House.

The generator was interfaced with the STOR aggregator Kiwi Power and received DNO approval to support the network with aggregator exporting schemes such as STOR, TRIAD and peak lopping. The generator protected the network in accordance with G59 standards.
