Dodd Group was delighted to help Orbit Group refurbish it's fantastic community centre at Tanyard Farm in Coventry. Our 'Community Crew' installed and decorated the kitchen, fitted replacement lighting and re-decorated the main rooms.

The centre is used by members of Tanyard Farm's independent living scheme and is now also available for hire to groups which will benefit local residents, such as gentle exercise classes, yoga and guest talks. Pippa Reeve, Placemaking and Partnerships Manager at Orbit said: "We wanted to create a space which would benefit everyone by providing somewhere our customers and other members of the community can come together and socialise. Social isolation can affect a lot of people, so we hope that our customers and the wider community will use the centre as much as possible."

Matthew Lewis and James Kirby of our Property Care Division were on hand to help103 year old Betty, one of the regulars at Tanyard Farm, cut the ribbon with the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Councillor Linda Bigham.
