When CBRE asked Thorlux Lighting toreplace the existing luminaires at Ordnance Survey’s 16,000 m² exemplar headoffice outside of Southampton, Dodd Group was appointed as the Thorlux’selectrical installation partner.
The building comprises open planoffice space over four floors, data centre, plant rooms, roof space, andlecture theatre.
Dodd Group engineers installed highperformance LED luminaires with Thorlux’s SmartScan wireless management system.The luminaires incorporate in-built energy usage monitoring and users haveinstant access to energy performance data via the SmartScan website.
Reductionof COâ‚‚ being the main goal for the project, the majority of the cardboardpackaging was reused for the following weeks deliveries. The installation wascompleted with more than 3000 fittings being replaced.
