The project comprises a two-storey new build main school building which houses; general teaching classrooms, practical teaching classrooms, Library, Kitchen & Dining Hall,Main Hall & Changing facility and ancillary areas such as Toilets andStaff/Admin spaces. All existing buildings on the site are to be demolished with the exception of the ‘LA Block’, which has recently been completed by theLocal Authority. Temporary accommodation shall be provided to allow the school to continue operating during the construction works.
The scheme is being developed inline with the DfE Output Specification 2021 and is required to achieve net-zero carbon in operation (NZCiO) upon completion.
Dodd Group is delivering the M&E design utilising the in-house design team. The M&E services on this project consists of LV Distribution, Small Power, Lighting, FireAlarm/Detection, Disabled refuge alarm, Induction Loop, Access Control andVideo Intercom, CCTV, Telephone and Data, Lightning Protection, EV CarCharging, Photovoltaics, Sprinkler, Domestic Hot & Cold Water, CAT 5 Water, Sanitary ware, Above Ground Drainage, Air Source Heat Pump LTHW Heating,Mechanical Ventilation, Natural Ventilation, Refrigerant Cooling and BuildingManagement System (BMS).
