Dodd Group has been engaged at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth by Thorlux Lighting to carry out the retrofit of 21,346 light fittings and control systems to achieve the trusts drive for the decarbonisation of its current Stock.
This project is a 24month scheme with Dodd Group working across the entire estate replacing existing light fittings installed when the hospital was built and upgrading them to achieve the decarbonisation targets of the Trust.
The works involved Dodd Group Midlands working in conjunction with Thorlux Lighting and Equans in preparing a programme, phasing the works as required by the end user as the master delivery document. This project was undertaken in a live hospital environment and required a collaborative approach to delivery in close conjunction with the Trust's estates team
