Dodd Group (Eastern) Ltd is looking for JIB-graded electricians to work on their own initiative and within teams on utility and industrial sites across East Anglia. While Projects are run from our Kings Lynn office - we are looking for electricians across the East Anglia region. Typical roles include the installation, testing and commissioning of telemetry outstations on water and sewage sites, and LV installation work within telephone exchanges and industrial premises. The roles involve travelling on a daily basis, planning and ordering of materials through the office and the handover of project documentation after install. Familiarity with laptop or tablet-based admin systems would be advantageous. Applicants must hold a JIB ECS card, a clean full driving licence, and be qualified to C&G, NVQ3 or equivalent, with experience of industrial and commercial electrical installations. Relevant experience (e.g. panel wiring, fault finding, control and instrumentation), competence with MS Office and laptop-based configuration apps, and/or additional qualifications such as C&G 2391, IPAF, PASMA, working at height, first aid, manual handling and asbestos awareness training would be an advantage, although full training will be provided for the right candidates. The King’s Lynn branch of Dodd Group is expanding its Telemetry Configuration Team that configures tests and supports the installation of microprocessor-based telemetry outstations on water utility sites. The role demands accuracy, an eye for detail, a diligent nature and an affinity for problem solving. Competence and confidence with MS Office are necessary – particularly Excel – and experience of telemetry, PLC systems and/or instrumentation will be a distinct advantage. The preferred candidates will be capable of carrying out activities such as: • ‘Desktop surveys’ of I/O, control and communications requirements based on existing outstation configurations. • Remapping outstation and PLC data from existing templates to new ones. • Recreating modular and bespoke control and signal conditioning software code using commercial (e.g. Straton, RSLogix) and proprietary applications. • Functional testing of configured hardware at works. • ‘Top-end’ support of outstation installation and commissioning. • Carrying out periodic quality checks of data from newly installed outstations. • Creating/updating outstation mimics (interactive process diagrams) on the ‘top-end’ system. Utilities Project Engineer / Manager - Kings Lynn based

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Utilities Project Engineer / Manager, to join our Kings Lynn Office, in its Utilities sector to initiate and manage electrical works across multiple sites in partnership with a regional water utilities company. The position is largely office-based, but will require frequent travel to attend sites across the region to carry out client meetings, surveys, inspections and audits across East Anglia. It is anticipated that you will have a background in industrial electrical installation and significant experience of project supervision and management roles. MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills are essential.
